Abstract
|
|
|
Thanatophoric dwarfism is a short limb dwarf condition which usually results in death shortly after birth. Characteristic clinical findings are large head, depressed nasal bridge, constricted thorax, and short limbs with X-ray findings of the short and curved tubular bones and the telephone-receiver shape femora and the H or disk like appearance of vertebral bodies.
Authors experienced a case of thanatophoric dwarfism with typical clinical and X-ray findings.
A brief review of literature was given on this subject.
